NatureHolic – Magnesium Booster Fertilizer

NatureHolic Magnesium Booster with immediate effect is a liquid magnesium-containing aquarium fertilizer for plant aquariums and especially for aquascaping. The important plant nutrient magnesium (Mg) plays an important role in the photosynthesis of aquarium plants: the central atom of chlorophyll is magnesium. The plant also needs magnesium for the formation of plant tissue and for many metabolic functions.

A magnesium deficiency is similar to an iron deficiency: pale leaf colors and chlorosis occur – that is, the leaf veins remain green, while the rest of the leaf turns yellow. In the case of a magnesium deficiency, the chloroses first appear on the older leaves of the aquarium plants.
Nutrient deficiencies in the aquarium are predominantly exploited by nuisance algae: Therefore, if aquatic plants in the aquarium do not grow well due to a lack of nutrients, a weak to strong algae plague may result.

With the NatureHolic Magnesium Booster magnesium fertilizer for the aquarium, the plants can again form chlorophyll and continue to grow vigorously. The leaf tissue becomes more intensely colored again and looks stronger. In all our NatureHolic aquascaping fertilizers the nutrients are formulated so that they are safe for fish and invertebrates in the aquarium and especially for shrimps when used in the correct dose. The nutrient stabilization in NatureHolic Magnesium Booster is formulated so that aquarium plants can easily absorb the plant nutrient magnesium through their foliage.

Dosage: NatureHolic Magnesium Booster is added daily to the aquarium.

Aquariums with strong light and with a CO2 fertilization receive 2 ml Magnesium Booster per 100 liters per day, without CO2 supply 0.5 ml. Aquariums with medium strong light with CO2 fertilization receive 1 ml, without CO2 supply 0.25 ml. Low light aquariums do well with CO2 fertilization with 0.5 ml, without CO2 supply with 0.1 ml Magnesium Booster. The target value is above 10 mg/l magnesium.

Please note: All dosage recommendations are only guidelines, which may be adjusted up or down individually to suit the conditions in the aquarium. If the magnesium value in the aquarium increases too much, the fertilizer quantity should be reduced. With a good water test for aquascaping, the magnesium value in the aquarium can be monitored well. We recommend a water change of about 25-70% per week to prevent nutrient peaks from forming in the aquascape, which can promote the growth of troublesome algae.

We recommend the use together with the other macronutrient fertilizers from NatureHolic and our Complete iron fertilizer so that the plants in the aquascape or planted aquarium are supplied with everything they need.
