NatureHolic – Nitrogen Booster Fertilizer

As a liquid aquarium fertilizer for aquascaping and for all planted aquariums, the phosphate-free NatureHolic Nitrate Booster with immediate effect supplies the plants with the important macro-nutrient nitrogen (N) in the form of nitrate (NO3), which they need for healthy growth.

A lack of nitrate in aquatic plants in the aquarium can be recognized by slow growth and unusually small leaves. A nitrate deficiency and nutrient gaps in the aquarium often result in algae plagues. Massive amounts of filamentous algae or fur algae are also typical in the event of a nitrogen deficiency.

The NatureHolic nitrate booster nitrate fertilizer for the aquarium allows the plants new healthy growth, they can then fully develop their new leaves again. The leaf tissue becomes stronger again, the growth vigorous, the colors brighter. Like all NatureHolic aquascaping fertilizers, the nutrients in the nitrate booster are absolutely harmless for fish, shrimp and all other invertebrates in the aquarium when dosed correctly. The nutrients in the NatureHolic Nitrate Booster Aquascaping Fertilizer are formulated in such a way that the aquarium plants easily absorb them from the water through their leaves.

Dosage: NatureHolic Nitrate Booster is best dosed as a daily fertilizer so that the plants always have a constant amount of the important nutrient NO3 available. In addition to nitrogen, the fertilizer also brings some potassium and magnesium with it. The target value for nitrate in an aquarium with aquatic plants is 13-20 mg/l. At this concentration, the risk of molting problems in shrimp and crabs is extremely low.

Aquariums with strong light and CO2 fertilization receive 2 ml Nitrate Booster per 100 liters per day, without CO2 supply 0.5 ml. Aquariums with medium strong light with CO2 fertilization receive 1 ml, without CO2 supply 0.25 ml Weak light aquariums do well with CO2 fertilization with 0.5 ml, without CO2 supply with 0.1 ml nitrate booster.

Please note: The above dosage recommendations are only guidelines that will be adjusted up or down depending on the individual needs of the aquarium. To monitor the nitrate value in the aquarium, we recommend an aquarium water test. If the NO3 value increases too much, the amount of fertilizer must be reduced accordingly. We recommend a weekly partial water change of approx. 25-70% in the aquarium. This prevents nutrient peaks in the aquarium water that would encourage algae growth.

We recommend using this in conjunction with NatureHolic’s other macro-nutrient fertilizers and the complete iron fertilizer to ensure that the plants in the aquascape or planted aquarium have everything they need.
