NatureHolic – NPK Booster Complete Fertilizer

The liquid fertilizer for plant aquariums and aquascapes NatureHolic NPK Complete with immediate effect provides the important macronutrients nitrogen (N) in the form of nitrate (NO3), phosphorus (P) in the form of phosphate (PO4) and potassium (K) to the aquatic plants. This explains the name NPK. In addition, the combined nutrient fertilizer still provides the micronutrients iron (Fe) and magnesium (Mg), which are also important plant nutrients. As a complete fertilizer, the aquarium fertilizer provides the plants with everything they need for health and good growth.

A lack of nitrogen or nitrate can be seen in aquarium plants by the fact that they grow slowly and have very small leaves. A phosphorus deficiency also manifests itself in small leaves and also in dark leaf colors, while too little potassium causes aquarium plants to show yellow and later black spots or holes in the leaves. An iron deficiency leads to leaf chlorosis and discoloration in new shoots, while a magnesium deficiency manifests itself in chlorotic older leaves. A nutrient deficiency often results in nutrient gaps in the aquarium, which the troublesome algae then in turn exploit. If the plants in the aquarium grow poorly, algae plagues soon spread.

NatureHolic NPK Complete is a complete fertilizer for the aquarium, which makes it possible that the plants in the aquascape or plant tank can grow healthy again, because they get food again. Their leaf tissue becomes stronger thanks to the complete fertilizer, they grow vital again, the leaf colors become brighter. The nutrients in NPK Complete, like the ingredients in all NatureHolic aquascaping fertilizers, are safe for aquarium animals such as fish, shrimp, crayfish and all other invertebrates in the aquarium when properly dosed . The nutrients in NatureHolic NPK Complete Aquascaping Fertilizer are immediately available to the plants and are stabilized so that the aquatic plants can absorb them from the water through their leaves.

Dosage: NatureHolic NPK Complete is best dosed as a daily fertilizer, so that the plants in the aquarium always have a constant amount of all important macro-nutrients nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, as well as the micronutrients iron and magnesium. The target value for nitrate in the aquarium with aquatic plants is 13-20 mg/l, for phosphate 0.1-0.4 mg/l, for potassium 10-15 mg/l, for iron 0.05-0.2 mg/l, magnesium should be above 10 mg/l. At this concentration there is practically no risk of skinning problems in shrimps and crayfish caused by nitrate.

Aquariums with strong light and with a CO2 fertilization receive 4 ml NPK Complete per 100 liters per day, without CO2 supply 1 ml. Aquariums with medium strong light with CO2 fertilization receive 2 ml, without CO2 supply 0.5 ml. Low light aquariums do well with CO2 fertilization with 1 ml, without CO2 supply with 0.2 ml NPK Complete.

Please note: These dosage recommendations are only indicative of a nutrient concentration in an average aquascape. Depending on the individual needs of the plants in the aquarium, the amount of added aquascaping fertilizer will be adjusted up or down. To monitor the water values in the aquarium, we recommend aquarium water tests for all relevant nutrients.

In the aquarium, approx. 25-70% of the water should be exchanged per week, so that no nutrient peaks can develop in the aquarium water, which would promote a strong algae formation.
