NatureHolic – Insect Bites

NatureHolic Insect Bites provide the inhabitants of the aquarium with an absolutely natural source of protein that also conserves resources and does not pollute the oceans – no fish meal is processed here, which is problematic in many respects anyway. NatureHolic Insect Bites are based on the natural diet of shrimps, crabs, shrimps and snails: We process here predominantly insect meal and Arctic krill, just as it corresponds to the natural diet of the crabs in the biotopes: they cover their protein needs there also to a large extent by insects, insect larvae and small crustaceans.

The insects and krill in NatureHolic Insect Bites provide high quality, highly bioavailable proteins as well as essential unsaturated fatty acids and valuable vitamins and minerals: iron, magnesium, manganese, selenium and zinc are present in optimally tolerated amounts and already in the right proportions. Insects also provide our shrimps, crabs and prawns with valuable chitin, which helps them build up their shells. In addition, insects contain the important moulting and growth hormone ecdysone, which can have a very positive effect on the growth, moulting, fertility and reproductive capacity of shrimps, crabs and crayfish.

This supplementary food is especially recommended for invertebrates with an increased protein requirement: Young shrimp and young crayfish in growth need more protein, and adult females in breeding also have an increased protein requirement. Especially for shrimp and crayfish in the aquarium that need a more carnivorous diet, such as Macrobrachium, Cambarellus, Cambarus and Procambarus, all juvenile crayfish and all adult Cherax that do not come from Papua, NatureHolic’s Insect Bites are the ideal protein food. Crabs also benefit greatly from this natural protein source. Among dwarf shrimp, Amano shrimp or tiger shrimp stand out due to a somewhat higher protein requirement, and NatureHolic’s Insect Bites taste great to them as well. The protein content of this protein supplementary food is just over 40%. Moulting problems due to a too high protein intake can thus be excluded.

In our NatureHolic feeds for invertebrates we deliberately avoid fish meal and also inferior animal meal. The amino acids contained in this food come exclusively from insects and crustaceans.

For NatureHolic’s Insect Bites we use our special blend of minerals and trace elements with highly bioavailable organic mineral compounds. They are directly available to the organism of the aquarium animals. The soft Insect Bites sink directly in the water and are therefore available to shrimps, crabs and shrimps without a long waiting time. They are eaten very quickly and readily and are significantly more water-stable than a food paste. For feeding Insect Bites we recommend our special shrimp food trays.

Feedingrecommendation: Feed 1-2 times a week as much as the animals take in a few minutes. Feed sparingly, usually one 5mm pad is sufficient for 15-25 shrimp.
