Product:
A natural plant extract based treatment, which eradicates Planaria and Hydra without affecting your shrimp.
If you have planaria in your tank, you will know what a pain they are living in your aquarium. If you’re not sure what they look like, they’re white flattish worms that tend to be about 10mm long and eat pretty much everything (apart from plants). Planaria scavenge food and as a result are impossible to get rid of. They will also compete with shrimp, and if allowed will attack them or their eggs. If you feed your shrimp food, planaria will get there first which is what makes them so hard to get rid of. In the past it has always been difficult treating a shrimp tank with anything, particularly a dewormer which gets rid of Planaria. Shrimp are very sensitive and as a result can easily be effected. Genchem No Planaria eradicates planaria without effecting shrimp.
Features:
? A safe treatment without effecting shrimp or plants
? Biodegradable
? Contains Betal Nut Palm Extract
Please Note: Remove carbon from your filter prior to dosage and dose according to packet instructions paying careful attention not to over dose. Some snails can also be sensitive?to Genchem No Planaria, if snails are present, we suggest re-homing during treatment with No Planaria.
Comments:
Genchem No-Planaria is a shrimp safe product. We have used this numerous times in all of our shrimp tanks to eradicate planaria or hydra outbreaks, with no impact on our shrimp. It is important to following the recommended dosing schedule for the best results (we always under dose by at least half). Depending on the outbreak in your tank, it may be essential to perform a water change after dosing is complete, in order to remove any ammonia resulting from the dying pests. This product has been known to kill snails, so please remove these before dosing should you wish to maintain your population.
It is also essential to understand that the killing of planaria and potentially snails, could lead to an ammonia spike. Please ensure that you perform the necessary water changes to remove excess ammonia after dosing.
